Skyr Date Bark

  1. Medjool Dates
  2. Skyr
  3. Pecan nuts
  4. Dark Chocolate
  5. Flaky Sea Salt (optional)
  1. Prepare the Dates:
    • Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Gently split the Medjool dates open and place them on the prepared baking sheet, allowing them to overlap and stick together.
  2. Add Skyr:
    • Drizzle skyr evenly over the split Medjool dates, completely covering them. Skyr will provide creaminess and a tangy flavor.
  3. Top with Pecan nuts:
    • Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the skyr-covered Medjool dates for crunch and extra flavor.
  4. Melt the Chocolate:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the dark chocolate in 20-30 second intervals until they are fully melted and smooth.
  5. Drizzle Chocolate:
    • Drizzle the melted chocolate evenly over the skyr-covered Medjool dates and Pecan nuts, creating a rich chocolate layer.
  6. Optional Sea Salt:
    • If desired, add a small sprinkle of flaky sea salt over the melted chocolate for a savory touch.
  7. Chill:
    • Transfer the prepared date bark to the fridge and let it sit until the chocolate sets. This usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour.
  8. Serve:
    • Carefully chop the skyr date bark into pieces and enjoy. Refrigerate remaining date bark if there is any after enjoying.
